Had their Habanero burrito with their habanero sauce and it was awesome, and that's from someone who's lived in the Southwest! Very friendly too!

I stumbled upon this burrito cart and wow, what a find! Hands down the best burritos I've had in this city. From the first bite, you can taste every single ingredient - it's like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The folks running it really know their stuff. They've got this knack for layering everything just right, so you get all the textures and tastes in each mouthful. And don't even get me started on their salsas! They've got a whole range you can choose from. The best part? These burritos won't leave your wallet crying. Honestly, for the quality you're getting, the prices are a steal. Whatever they use to season their tacos and fajita veggies is fantastic. Delicious, caramelized onions and peppers, and super tasty salsas. Only the habanero sauce is super spicy; the rojo, verde and avocado salsas are all just right and oh so good. My wife loves the shrimp tacos, which come with house-made tortillas, grilled veggies and perfectly plump butterfly shrimp. The fully loaded nachos are excellent, and so is the fajita burrito. Haven't had a meat selection that wasn't excellent. The wait can be long, so call to order before you go.

Fabulous vegan burrito! I would order it again and again! It was so flavored and I really enjoyed how you could also add vegan sour cream and vegan cheese to your burrito. I want to go back and try their breakfast burritos, as I'm sure they are equally as delicious. I'm not going to lie, this place definitely shocked me with how great it was - not too bad for a food truck!

I ordered some takeout from this place kind of expecting a middle of the road experience. Boy was I wrong! I got an order of carnitas nachos, and I'm not exaggerating, but they may have been the BEST NACHOS I'VE EVER HAD. So rich, so tasty, so satisfying! I've been meaning to go back and visit in person, but it's just been so cold out. One of these days though! If you want AMAZING nachos, this is the place!

So again in moving, we wander new places. So, we thought to try a little south of the border. So, we looked on Yelp to see what was good. (So I recommend when looking for food, Yelp first, Yelp last, Yelp always!) So we picked Habanero Burrito. You thought this sentence was going to start with so. Sadly nope, I am over that theme now. Ok - so my rule for South American food - salsa has to be good. Check. Overall the food was amazing. The signature Habanero salsa was just hot enough to make you sweat. There was no talking during the meal, and the food was too good to focus on anything else. We ended with Flan. I have to say, the Flan alone deserves 5 stars.

I love this food truck. Bright green, located in its own parking lot on the south side of Eastport Plaza. Menu is pretty large and there are lots of vegetarian vegan options. I usually go for the burrito with a vegetarian protein (tofu, soyrizo, or soy curls). Prices are reasonable for the large portions. Multiple salsa options, including very spicy. Great staff/owners, the kind of people you want to support. Two covered picnic tables out front.

Absolutely delicious and an exceptional find. Habanero Burrito is operating at a level that is uncommon for Mexican food places and in Portland and believe me when I say that they're doing it right! I definitely recommend this Habanero Burrito and would like to add that it would be my go-to destination even when I lived in Arizona which had some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. I'm gonna start out with some fun facts. Everything can be made vegan and they have legit vegan cheese and sour cream options. Even their refried beans are made vegan by default which isn't usually the case but is very welcome in my book. I wouldn't have been able to tell that they didn't contain lard unless specifically told which is incredible. Their hottest sauce appears to be diary based but again it's vegan too! And it packs a punch! Delicious and very well received. They hand make the tortillas for the tacos!!! You can truly taste the difference and it's worth it. Whatever you order, the protein is cooked to order and fresh! Might make sense to call it in ahead as wait times might be slightly longer depending on how busy it is. I did not do that and was still in and out. They have fun Jarritos drinks and a nice sitting area which isn't on the large side but was plenty comfortable for a quick bite. I ordered a carne asada burrito with vegan cheese and sour cream. Portions were all spot on and every ingredient in that burrito was seasoned to perfection. It's legit in all the best ways! The gentleman running the truck was friendly and took the time to answer all my questions regarding what was vegan and what was not. Thanks for that!! I think this is now my main lunch spot and if you haven't had the pleasure of a Habanero Burrito then your missing out!

First time here and drove out of my way because of the reviews. The food truck had its own section of a parking lot and ample parking. I gather that there had previously been other food trucks at this location but currently only the one. The truck looked clean with no noticeable concerns. The woman at the window was very kind and helpful. We ordered a Quesadilla with carnitas and carne asada burrito. We sat down at the tables they had in front of the truck and waited about 10 minutes. The kind woman behind the window came out and wiped down the table for us and brought us extra napkins and sauces. The carne asada burrito was good. Nice sized and a good balance of ingredients. Now the carnitas in the quesadilla was the BEST I've had in Portland so far. Great seasoning, crisp pieces, tender and NOT greasy. We'll be back!
